Some controllers such as the the wii mote and DS3/DS4 work via bluetooth so if u have an adapter for it, you can pair up them quite easily and get some programs can will configure them fairly easily. There are tons of youtube videos saying how to do it. Or if you buy controllers from like the 360 controller or third party controllers like Logitech or Razor, they usually come with a dongle and its plug and play!
