No, gamers won't forgive them their casuals years

I do. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Metroid Prime 3, Skyward Sword, Punch-Out!!, Kirbys Epic Yarn, Rhythm Heaven Fever, Wario Land: Shake It etc...

They never ignored their fanbase during the Wii era...

I missed out on Skyward Sword, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Wario Land: Shake It.

They still exist

I know. I wish I could get them right now, but I'm currently working on finishing Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World (which surprisingly came with my refurbished Wii U).

Instead of spammy reaction GIFs, why not present something of substance?

First, under current market capitalization, Sony is in danger of a buyout. Sony's market cap is $20 billion right now, which is about 3x what Nintendo has in cash, though theoretically if Nintendo wanted to, they could over-leverage themselves and buy it out.

Secondly, Sony as a corporation is a hot mess right now. PlayStation and their life insurance division are all they have that's worth a damn, especially as Sony Pictures unravels now in the wake of the hack. Buying Sony would, indeed, be a terrible idea unless the buyer just wanted to liquidate everything except life insurance and the PS division, and that wouldn't be worth the asking price (especially as the market cap would rise as soon as it was clear somebody wanted to buy)

Nintendos market cap is 15 billion $ vs sonys 23. Nintendos total equities are 1.2 trillion ¥ vs sonys 2.2 trillion ¥. Nintendo has assets worth 1.3 trillion¥, sonys assets are worth 15 trillion ¥. not a single indicator says nintendo has more money than sony. And their revenue goes down while sonys goes up.

Nowhere did i indicate that Nintendo had more money than Sony, but assets are not reflected in the market cap, clearly, weighed down by teh mismanagement that Sony as a whole has undergone.

My point was to correct Fatality's flippant hyperbole, which i find annoying.

dont see it happen, nintendo was never the platform of choice for third party. Even the wii was never really as sucessfull as the other 2, yeah it sold more units but not more games and services, espacially third party games. Nintendo could maybe succeed if their planed console for devolping countries becomes succefull in getting people who arent gamer into buying their consoles like they did with the wii.

By god, how long will we have to re-litigate the 7th gen? Wii won, deal with it.

Yeah in brute sales but in overall enjoyment of the console? Hell no.

Very interesting answer. Since when does "gamers" = Nintendo fans?

No one listens. Third party is the key. Nintendo lost out because of their always rocky relationship with them.

Only if they pull out another wii motion trick, otherwise, not a chance.

Even i am a nintendo big fans for a loong time i really doubt about it. Right now i only waiting for new zelda and xenoblade xc. MK8 is a great game and super fun game, but i just cant stop keep playing destiny. But i already played mh3u on wiiu for about 800+ hours! So i dont regret have a wiiu right and it can sit nice collecting dust while im playing destiny and then mh4u and waiting for zelda wiiu, xeboblade, and metroid with online mp would nice.m

Except wii no Nintendo console even beat ps3 so imposible

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Doubt it. Sony or MS would have to leave the console business before that happens.

However, IMO so long as Nintendo stays around, IDGAF whether they win or lose any generation.
