Highly possible, though without any numbers since BF week its uncertain. But the milestones in different countries are encouraging, and we are in holidays. Even in japan the PS4 got a considerable boost (DQ bundle yes but still), though I have a feeling the 20m milestone may end up between ending december and early january

Will never happen. You all make the mistake to think that black Friday week numbers will continue until Christmas. That wont happen. Look at the past. The first week after November always was much less than black Friday week and and from there on numbers wont get that much higher before Christmas or new year.
All in all I would say 18 to 18.5 Million max till January.

As far as I know january 3rd pertains to 5th week of December Sales and 52nd for 2014.

It's 16.1m by VGC numbers and that's from the 29th Nov. It'll already be aroung 17.5m - 18m. 20m isn't that much of a stretch.
