I'm pretty much on board with this. Valve's half hearted attempt at "quality control" is dishonest at best and abuse of power at worst.

They do have all the right to ban any game from their service but being disingeniuous with their reasons and letting other filth like completely broken games and and even pure scams stay is bullshit and I don't like it.

Yea, I saw TB's video and I greatly agree! It doesn't really make much sense as to why they removed it considering how many games that are arguably worse than that game and the "reason" they gave is terrible. I hope they give us a more proper explanation cause this is pure nonsense. If you are gonna have a system like Greenlight whoes purpose is to let the community choose which games they want in Steam and which games they don't want, then don't decide for urselves whats best cause the point of Greenlight is for us to choose whats best! And if your gonna actually remove games, then there are far more games that need to be removed due to how broken they are then the reasoning behind Hatred..

I do hope that Steam will one day allow games/VNs with more prawn though since every VN on steam seems to just have the "no-sex" edition but thats for another time

I never liked Valves business practices in regards to Steam. My thoughts are they are inconsistent and unfair at best, completely corrupt at worst.

Valve are not the good guys of the gaming industry like some PC gamers would make them out to be. Recently, they've been getting more unruly and more antagonistic among customers ...

Steambox, no games this year from them or even announced, and this just shows that they ARE worse than EA or Ubisoft.

We all know what the real reason is. But they can't say it without being hypocrites. And they can't take the decision back.

The only thing they could do to rectify this is having actual quality control and we all know that won't happen.

Laughable. Valve has the right to refuse whatever they want for whatever reason and that in no way makes them hypocrites. They remove content that they judge will bring too much negative backlash to their platform and allow content they judge will be just fine. If they as the platform owner feels that a game is morally disgusting, they still have every right to tell the developer "no thanks". Since when did it become Valves responsibility to open up their platform to anything people want to put on it?

+1 - Agreed.  Without Steam a lot of indies wouldn't exist.

Valve confuses me sometimes.  I guess by saying that then they would publish games like Sakura Spirit as well as tons of simulator games.

They are able to turn games away from Steam yes, but then why didn't they remove other games that were controversial like Postal or Wolfenstein.  According to Valve they removed the game claiming that "they wouldn't publish a game like this" when there are other games that both have questionable quality such as Air Control or controversial games like Postal was.
