Forums - Sony Discussion - Bloodborne Won’t Run@60FPS Because Of Technical Limitations

Considering this is a From Software game I'll be happy as long as it keeps a consistent 30fps.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Couldn't care less tbh, game looks incredible.

30fps is perfectly fine for the type of game that it is, I'm just happy it looks so damn good.

I disagree. These types of games benefit from better responsiveness, since it relies on split second reactions. Dark Souls 2 benefited from 60 fps (on pc) and Dark Souls 2 especially with mods (blighttown is much less frustrating).

30fps is ideal to me. 60fps would require unnecessary compromises with other aspects of design.

This is why console exclusives suck. It's holding back gaming. If I could play Bloodborne on a PC it wouldn't be stuck at 30 FPS.

At least they're being honest about it. I don't want to hear any of that "it's more cinematic" BS.

On a similar note, I'm also sad that Uncharted 4 got downgraded to 30 fps... That 60fps trailer was so nice!

idk if anyone else noticed but
"so we can hope that by the time Bloodborne ships in late April From Software will be able to lock it at 30FPS."

late april? isnt the release date on march 24?

So it's official is it?

Called it; 1080p/60fps would have undermined the graphical spectacle UC is famous for.

Is 60fps ideal? Yes. But honestly, having played Dark Souls on both my PC and my PS3, there is very little difference is overall gameplay or enjoyment from 60fps. Locked 30fps will fit the game just fine for 99% of those interested in it.

The PSX trailer was running at 30 fps. Sadly, I doubt they'll be able to get it back up to 60.
