Imagine how many copies this could sell if Nintendo allows letsplayers to use the game in the same way that Minecraft.

I think this could be classically Nintendo in one key way: it's extremely accessible but deceptively complex. Looking forward to it, I hope they add a few more aesthetics. Maybe even styles that haven't been used in a retail Mario release?

Paper Mario style would be pretty neat!

Yeah, throw in Paper Mario, Yoshi's Island-esque style, and maybe even Woolly World and Rainbow Curses' wool/claymation styles? Would that be doable? If so, it'd be amazing to see that happen.
I'm not too hyped for Mario Maker, but I will still give it a try because it looks like it could be tons of fun!

I'm sure that we'll be able to share levels, but all the footage so far makes it look as though these levels are going to be extremely tiny. I think they're going to make sure to limit the length and publishing abilities because otherwise we wouldn't need to buy new Mario games. So don't expect anything more than bite-sized levels, and nothing like your own campaigns with world maps and such.
It's disappointing, but I guess I understand it. And I could be wrong, but I really don't think I am.

It has the potential to be huge. It's really kind of a sin that Wii U has sold so slowly, with the excellent content Nintendo are making for it. This, MK8, SM3DW, Zelda U, Splatoon, Xenoblade X, WWHD, Bayonetta 2... excellent, innovative, well-executed games that deserve to have more people enjoy them.

I'm thinking there's a ton of stuff that they haven't shown about Mario Maker. The styling of the game is a big plus for me. I'll be getting it no matter what. It's right under Zelda Wii U for my most anticipated.

They're not that tiny. Although it would make the game many times better if they make it possible to tie multiple maps together to make one level (such as a map for going into a pipe).
