I don't know.. The GameCube was once priced at $99 and it still sold like crap! I also don't see Nintendo taking rid of the GamePad anytime soon, if ever!


Wii u gamepad is needed,everyone should finally realise that nintendo won't drop it.

Also nintendo won't match  the price with the manufacturing cost or even below it to make a loss,it can't do it the same that MS does with xbone because it isn't able to afford it,even though an accurate analysis says that nintento can stand till 2052 a constant yearly 250$ loss with the money which has banked and 2072 if it sells properties!

Nintendo goes for profits and I don't know why we  discuss an article which is based on a flawed research....:P

yep, even with that there were plenty on these forums saying it was going to be a huge system seller, bigger than COD and Halo even. Wii U needs some good marketing, some 3rd party support and maybe a price drop if it wants to boost its baseline numbers.

It needs to be $150 with just a standard wireless controller.  This thing is 5 times weaker than the Xbox One, and it is nearly the same price at this point.  The Tablet Is. Not. Worth it.



Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

It was on a game scoop, which is just wrapping up a lot of news for a week. I believe this was on wednesday. I'm not sure what day game scoop airs, because I don't usually watch it.

yeah but the gamecube was doing worse than the xbox at that point. And the xbox and ps2 were priced at 150$ later on.

Let Nintendo do there stuff, they were incredibly successfull last gen, with there Wii and DS. There 3DS is doing very good aswell. Let Playstation and Xbox battle it out. They Wii U is the just another Gamecube, it maybe doesnt sell well, but it sure has fantastic games already, and many more to come. Nintendo will be all fine in the end :)

yep.  That audience is just going to keep shrinking as the gens go on.  They need more new fans.  It doesn't help that many Nintendo fans are some of the cheapest gamers I know.  I know guys that will trash on the other consoles and call all their fans people who like graphics and blood over good gameplay but then they don't even buy the damn system because apparently it has to be like $200 or less.  I bought the damn thing and I don't trash on anyone lol because I have a PS4 too and love both and can legitimately say both have great games and PS4 has plenty of variety and non-bloody games that are mature in other ways.
