This can't be true, and it better not be. I have been searching hard for this adapter, and I don't even use the GameCube controller (I use the Pro), but I want to have it for when I have friends over.

People has been selling it for over $100. I see nothing logical about removing something that is popular. Frankly this is about as logical as it was to not restock Xenoblade and Metroid on the Wii a few years ago. If there is a demand, then restock it. Now others will make it and make the money Nintendo should have made in the first place

It doesn't make any sense to not re-stock it when this is one title, Smash, that will continue to sell over the next year and especially when it's not even Christmas yet; it's one of those evergreen titles.
