So, MS continues to completely demolish the competition when it comes to Windows, that's good to hear :).

It is weird...!it heavily skyrocketed after the announcment of windows 10 and you would expect the opposite!Win xp share fell to the half in two months, falling fast and hugely for the first time and windows 8.1/8 took the lion share of that instead of win7 for the first time!

There's might be an explanation,windows8.1/8 users will get win10 for free but how many are informed for this!Ms was too hasty announcing win10 being afraid of that win8.1/8 wouldn't have another growth but it had its biggest ever because it seems that win xp users finally decided to swith to win 8.1/8...

Also this news may be good for pc!In this quarter pc market probably had  a huge increase!

Hardly unexpected, but hardly "skyrocketing" either.

Windows XP support ended recently, which is why it dropped 10%. Windows 7 and 8 took up the slack with about a 5% boost for each.

For windows 8.1/8 that's a skyrocketing...:PIt  jumped 6% after the announcement of win10 and previously was falling as a result ms to announce win 10,but all of a sudden grew significantly!

They cut its life short and cancelled promised updates. As a user of windows 8. I am not happy. Windows 10 has to be a free upgrade.

For windows8.1/8 users it is free!

I still use Windows XP. Only because I don't care to upgrade.

You should dear!You're in danger.:P

As many are aware, XP is no longer supported. As a result, vendors have really stepped up support for Windows 7. In fact, without future updates I would recommend anyone who uses XP at their business to consider upgrading to windows 7.

Audit your processes, contact your vendors and determine which systems can be upgraded to 7. Create a test system and run your apps in a test environment before you deploy and be mindful of the costs associated with renewing or obtaining licenses for Windows and you vendor software. If you can do all of that, there is no reason to be using XP especially when the lack of support opens your system up to security risks.
