Forums - Gaming - I will always own a PlayStation console, heres why..

I would own it for exclusive jrpgs but the very moment those become no longer exclusive and make their way to pc, I will stop buying ps for good

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Yeah I think this is my last generation of buying more than 1 console.
Vita was a massive dissapointment in the end.
3DS was alright at best but a few games a year hardly warrants a purchase.
WiiU... well by having a Zelda game I was sold but I dont think I will do that again.

PS4 while garbage so far imo has by far the most promise, 2015 potentially being the best year in gaming for me.

I'm practically in the same situation as you. Not enough time to keep up with my console of choice,

Money and time. It's just too expensive  to own all three and keep up with buying games. With being a family man with a meh paying job its too difficult to spend money on more than one. Even If I could afford it I just don't have the free time. I can't  even keep up with PlayStation games, let alone another. So I have to live vicariously through you Nintendo and Xbox owners. So in conclusion I consider myself a Sony fanboy. Not because  I hate the competition, but because Its not practical for me to expand outside the PlayStation ecosystem.

So much truth right there.  I have the money to own absolutely every console but honestly there is no point.  I like PC gaming and Playstation always has my favorite franchises.  I mean look what I will be playing next year:

Bloodborne - PS4

The Order - PS4

MGSV - PS4

Tomorrow Children - PS4

No Man's Sky - PS4

Uncharted 4 - PS4

Until Dawn - PS4

Whatever PC Third Parties I get on Sale

And that is what I know I will get now.  E3 isn't even here yet!  I don't have time to play 20 AAA games a year lol.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

Less than what I expected?  Maybe, but garbage is so not true.  There are a ton of great games on PS4 right now.

playstation was always the console of choice for me

ps1 = got most 2d and 3d games, saturn games looked only better if they were 2d
PS3 = free online play
PS4 = best graphics

The only exception is the ps2, the xbox multiplats look better most of the times and both ps2 and xbox have exclusives to make it a peer in that regard.

Same here. I still have 20+ games unplayed on my ps3, 10+ on my Vita and only bought 2 games for my ps4 because I want to clear the other backlogs before I buy more games on ps4 (almost 10 in my wishlist). Time makes me a one console gamer.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

Always is a long time. Am looking forward to "PlayStation Now".

Which is why i'm sticking to only PS4/Wii U.

Similar reason, but I add 3DS and I cover 90-98% of gaming library that I care about (I have zero interesting in mobile)
