So what you're saying is, the more colorful/less realistic something is, the more artistic it is? I guess someone needs to go back in time and tell Leonardo Davinci that the Mona Lisa has a worse artstyle than Phineas and Ferb.

You summarized my discussion with Padib in a different way... but you won't win on it... impossible to make them accept that they just see something Nintendo and justify that cartoony is more artistic and that defines the argument.

Or he could compare Da Vinci with Picasso or Van Gogh. See where that goes.

Tbh, I probably would have brought them up if the guy I was quoting had written something less childish than basically "artstyle1>artstyle2". Incidentally I do like Van Gogh's style more than DaVinci's and pretty much any other painter's. Picasso's style is interesting, but too surreal for my tastes.
Anyway, I've never really cared much about graphics or artstyle in games. Loads of PS1/N64 games still look fine to me and there's never been a game that made me go "OMFG LOOKIT DAT AMAZING GRAPHICS". All I care about is a good framerate, good camera and an artstyle that isn't painful to look at (like Bubsy 3d's) and fits the theme that the game is going for. From the looks of things, both UC4 and Zelda have all of those things, so they both look good to me.
