Hey I was just stating my opinion. I don't think it is really that impressive. Everyone else is allowed their opinion and I should be allowed mine.

You can have a bad opinion about a game, but you can't really go the way you did. That was above opinion and more on the flamming. If you don't see that you certainly deserved the moderation. And sure you shouldn't be complaining about mods here... if you disagree send a message to them. And worst yet you accused him of abbusing his power.

I think it shows more about the maturity of user shere than about my post. My post was written with my opinion on the matter. Not what the community wants to hear. I wasn't flaming or baiting anyone or I would have replied to someone elses post. If people want a mature discussion then they shouldn't let something as simple as my opinion on a games visuals get to them that badly. Yes I did accuse him of abuse of moderation. I didn't deserve any moderation as it was my opinion and I had no intent to stir anyone up. The fact people find the visuals so impressive confuses me, but I'm not going to let that stir me up.

You can dislike a game as much as you like and can bash as much as you want and I don't care. Just explaining to you the rules don't allow, if you disagree on the rules and want to carry on, do as you please but don't complain about the mod because he was following the rules... and you broke the rule again when going against the moderator. And your accusation could even be counted as a 3rd break of a rule as that would be some kind of personal attack.

So, if I say and truly believe that Mario 64 has better visual than Gears of War on 360 because I prefer the art style of Mario, I can be right because it's my way of judging visual, right ?  It doesn't work like this. Graphics quality have parameters, which are not subjective, while art style it's opinable.  No way to play with this, sorry if I say so :)

I never said you don't have a right to your opinion. If I did please link to a post. Rather, it's most people on the UC side of this debate which are making it a non-arguable fact.

Yes, depending on what you value Mario 64 may have better visuals than Gears of War. Only you need to be ready to go into detail as to what exactly in Mario 64 makes it a prettier game, instead of say Super Mario 3D world (which is much more comparable).

I think you didn't get my point.

By the way, if for 'Visual' we mean 'Art Design', it's opinable. If you mean Graphics/technical=geometry/draw distance/textures/lighting/effects/collision system, physics, animations, etc PS4 is always capable of a lot more; we are talking about Naughty Dog, and they will always deliver better Graphics than anything possible on WiiU.  You may prefer the art style of Zelda, this is the only thing we might agree.

I'm not a mod and just saying he shouldn't complain about it here and explaining why he was moderated.

Also you think it was because he had a opinion agaisnt the game, which certainly isn't the case... how many times have you said bad things about a game and not banned? I wasn't banned while expressing negative opinion on any game because I explained and was logical. But he was just flamming. Don't you see a difference?

I see the difference but I don't believe it is ban-worthy.

I have positive and negative opinions on plenty of things, I don't always explain myself fully. Also, I'm not sure he has a history of trolling. If he did then the mods did probably right, but even then I'm not sure he posts enough for that.

Anyway we're off topic here.

I wouldn't report or moderate him because I don't agree with the rule, but it exist so by the site rules the moderator done accordingly. And if someone disagree with it, they can PM the mod, the head mod or post in the mod thread. What he did on the complain was breaking the rule 1 or 2 times more.

I'm not here to troll or flame bait anyone. I'm here to post my opinion and hope for mature discussion on it. Instead I get slapped with a warning for a post that wasn't against the rules. Certainly not the rule I got warned for. I expect for a mod to be less bias in a situation. I see harsh post on Nintendo games go moderation free every day. Same for microsoft games. A harsh post has nothing to do with trolling.

Man, you can have your opinion and can think the game is bad... but sincerely if you think that badly of UC4 which games would you put above and below it and why?

And the way you put your opinion wasn't mature, so no mature discussion would come from it.

And your post was against the rules, you can put that to dispute and discover, but maybe the mod framed you with the wrong justification (I can't opinate on that since I didn't saw your warning).

I see harsh posts on the 3 and users from the 3 go free or moderated and that have nothing torwards mod bias since we have mod from 3 teams.

Graphically, a first party, highly polished title will inevitably be superior on the console with the superior graphics. Many people are answering the question that way, but in terms of how good the visual are, well, that's very subjective. The new Zelda is my favorite visual style for the series thus far, so I have to go with it.

Okay for starters.

Textures

  • The textures aren't awful, but they're not great. Some of them seem muddy and too glossy.
  • The water textures also could use some improvement. I'm sure some of it will improve as the game goes further in development, but it's not terribly impressive.
  • I wouldn't even compare them to PC games as some have in this thread.

Environments

  • Again nothing impressive. The tall rock formations were cool, but not something that hasn't been done before.
  • Under close inspection the rock models themselves aren't impressive and I refer back to the texture issue.
  • The foilage itself has been done before. Crysis had just as impressive foilage years ago. Not to say that's a bad thing, but it's nothing new.
  • Brown/green was heavy in that scene. As with the previous games I'm sure there will be more color in the future previews.
  • The rocks and stuff reacting to gun fire and crumbling was a nice touch. I will admit. Nice attention to detail.

Animation

By far the best part of this game so far in my opinion. I love the animation. Especially the facial animation and interaction between characters. The fluidness of the animations was also shown off at the scene where he slides with the gun and jumps onto the enemy. Overall it will be a great game, but I don't believe the visuals deserve the hype. Yet. The ability to hide in foilage was pretty nice.

To put it simply your history of having a passive aggressive attitude towards the Sony fanbase already qualifies you for breaking breaking rule #10, section 3 ...

Combined with this "Blurry textures, zero draw distance, low polygons." just shows your purpose here despite what you say ...

I think Leadified made the right call but I'm not going to discuss it any further since it would be just derailing the thread at hand ...

If you look closely you can see the textures in some spots are a bit muddy and the models aren't very high poly. The draw distance comment is the only thing I can think of where I'm not 100% correct.

And going by blurry textures, zero draw distance, low polygons... Would that classify as it being worse than Zelda right? Then do you think Zelda have high res, infinite draw distance and big polygon count?

No. Zelda won't have impressive polygons or super high res textures, but the style it is going with isn't trying to achieve realism. So I suppose my answer would be "These two games cannot be compared." So far as a whole UC4 looks like an excellent game. I just fail to see why it gets all the visual praise.
