Best visuals of 2015?

Uncharted 4 413 40.02%

Zelda U 448 43.41%

Other ( post below) 60 5.81%

see results 56 5.43%

Too early to tell, but I ... 55 5.33%

Total:1,032

Wow I can't believe the poll results. Surely Uncharted has the best visuals, right?! Woops I forgot. This is a visual preference poll. Believe it or not, I wasn't trying to be funny in my first sentence.

Honestly, Uncharted looks the most real. There's no debate about that and it can't be debated. Visually though, Nintendo brings a magic touch to their games. The art style is utterly breath taking imo. I don't like this visual matchup though, so I'm not voting.

WiiU is not supposed to compete in graphics but...
I'm not really impressed by Uncharted 4.

If you look at it expecting 'next-gen' top notch graphics, then I've seen better PC games 2/3 years ago.

I'm more impressed with Zelda than a 4th sequel of uncharted that is not that much of an upgrade if you compare it with previous installments.

Which better PC games 2/3 years ago ? Name some(3rd person shooters with same level of scape, details, textures, animations, lighting, dinamic and fast action which is also part of 'visual').

Also Uncharted4 is in pre-alpha stage, and looks already very good.

Subjectively; it comes down to which style you enjoy the most. Objectively, as in terms of sheer graphical fidelity it has to be Uncharted 4 by a long shot.
However, "best visuals" is so much more, and for me this is a tie and I find both to be extremely appealing in the visual appartment, it is a nice bonus knowing that both will also likely also feature great music and gameplay.

Indeed! Zelda has some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard in any genre of music. I'm definitely awaiting some more memmorable tracks. As well as Uncharted.

It's fine to have opinion... but to use the right to have opinion to be obliviou to reality or to push "preferences" as truth is another thing.

Why do I put Nintendo fans all together??? I'm not doing it, I'm talking about the Nintendo fans that pretend any Nintendo game looks better than PS games because being cell-shaded is "more artistic" and keep saying the same thing to try and say the gap isn't big or nintendo games look better when they clearly don't. And the worst part about Nintendo locked on this condecending from Nintendo fans and gaming critics is that they get aways with investing nothing on technology and keep putting the same level of graphics (with small improvement) for 3 generations...

Pleople that I lumped together (and you are one of the biggest doing it, as you basically show your hate for Sony quite often) say they aren't impressed with UC4 because it is just UC3 with better res but jizz all on theirselves by a game that don't look much better than the GC version of it (and yes for cell-shaded GC Zelda was already gorgeous, but this isn't any more gorgeous in comparison for a 10 year gap).

And for your information I have no problem with Nintendo, my friend have all the newest games, I have all their consoles up to GC and will buy Wii+WiiU next year, have been playing Ninty for 20 years and liking the games and finding the graphics pleasing. But I can't put a straight face and say it looks better than PS4 games in graphical department because that is absurd. Journey and Flower looks on the same league of Zelda... But UC, please don't even try.

To them it is truth, they are not pushing anything. If you can't accept that to some people Zelda will look better than Uncharted, then get out of the thread.

I didn't think you were the kind to believe in relativity truth.

Maybe some people mean art design, style and not graphics as geometry, details, textures, lighting, effects, scope, draw distance, etc bacause we all know which hardware can do a lot better on these things...I would move on on this subject.

Completely uncomparable graphically speaking. Uncharted is miles ahead. That doesnt mean that one can think that Zelda has better art, or it could be a better game, but technical speaking this post is just ridiculous.

It's not relative truth if the person thinking it things it's absolute truth.

I think it's absolutely true that Zelda has the nicer visuals because of how I judged it. You valued photorealism therefore you judged Uncharted to have nicer visuals. According to two differing value systems, our absolute truth judgement varies.

That does not make it a relative truth, but simply a preference based on two differing value systems.

So, if I say and truly believe that Mario 64 has better visual than Gears of War on 360 because I prefer the art style of Mario, I can be right because it's my way of judging visual, right ?  It doesn't work like this. Graphics quality have parameters, which are not subjective, while art style it's opinable.  No way to play with this, sorry if I say so :)

Nope. If I ask which seems prettier than that is purely subjective and any choice based on opinion is valid and true for the one choosing.

I don't value photorealism... I think Journey is gorgeous, I like cell-shaded graphics. But If someone presents me a portray of a scene almost replicating the scene and the other some kind of surreal picture I'm certainly will preffer the first. If someone do a replica with the same level of detail, lightining and everything else but only difference is collor palete I would have to see both to judge.

But UC and Zelda can't be compared on that because Zelda don't have 10% the graphical assets of UC. For me the comparison people do to always put a Nintendo game ahead (we saw it for Driveclub vs MK8, last gen we saw UC vs Mario Galaxy, and if we look almost all similar cases) indepent. For me that is like pitching something from renaissance to impressionism from someone like Da Vince, Michelangelo or Manet to a work from expressionism or Surrealism but quite unknow but good artist and says the second group is better just because it is more artistic, creative, not trying to copy reality... I haven't encountered in this forum anyone from Nintendo camp (you included) that says he thinks a Sony game looks better than a Nintendo game... some will say technically Sony is more advanced (some will dispute even that) but they will always go for "artistic direction" to justify. So I find hard to believe 100% of people in a group will preffer cell-shadding to photorealism with a straight face and not to uphold a company he preffers.

Uncharted looks awful. Blurry textures, zero draw distance, low polygons. The character models and animations are the only saving feature.
