Sony has to make sure to make money off of Playstation as much as they can. And looking at UK let's not pretend Sony isn't doing *anything* in the competition. They didn't have to do much, yes, but let's not pretend they didn't do bundles and advertising and the PS4 is just selling because it's PS4.

Well,  there it is. People want the deals.  It will be interesting to see if it can stay ahead.  If the console war comes down to a pricing war, we all win. Also, I believe that it is imperative that Microsoft keep the price at 350.  

Seems Sony's finally giving some good deals. I wonder at what cost.

X1's most likely gonna stay up on the monthly. Its been in the top 10 this whole time. Took PS4 17 days into December to pass it.

Currently, it looks like X1 will win Amazon sales for December (barring a massive PS4 surge), as the monthly gap is quite significant. As far as being an indicator of NPD for December, Amazon loses some of it's value as an indicator for overall sales. Some have mentioned previously that the effect of sales at multiple other outlets is not negligible, and I concur. In addition to that, December is usually (and appears to be again) a supply-constrained month that is featuring uneven console distribution to retailers (Wouldn't you, if GS and BB made up a much larger segment of the market?). What unnerves me about using the other retailers' online statistics is that they don't appear to be nearly as clear cut as Amazon.

Agreed. Seems likely that the Xbox One may hold top spot.  And with Christmas next Thursday,  the PS4 has basically one week to make up any meaningful ground.  It's a big week though so I imagine that this is planned as a final push.  I think we will be able to draw conclusions immediately after Christmas. 

After that come January, things are gonna get interesting.

M$ should restock the other Xbone bundles..at the minute the PS4 is a much better deal. $400 PS4+far cry 4+TLOU > $350 X1+AC:u&AC:BF imo

Somepeople act as the Kinectless SKU had no effect in sales... well, it did and helped bring the price to $350.

You have to go back to June 2013 and read all the complains, not the BS FUD from annonimous "insiders", and you will understand is the biggest reason for the PS4 early lead in the USA.

It's still $50 more expensive for effectively the same thing: console + 2 games.

The fact that you get to choose between one of 4 games for the second game helps to sell it, because it has broader appeal. TLOUR has, at least to me, an unexpectedly large draw for PS4, and it helps that TLOUR is by far the best reviewed game out of all the games on offer across both consoles. But AC IV is no slouch of a game, albeit most last gen fans of AC will have bought it for their last gen console, so it's not as big of a draw as TLOUR to people who didn;t have a PS3 last gen, and being a new IP last gen a lot of potential players on PS3 may not have got to the game before it came to PS4, and being GOTG material some TLOU fans will have just gone ahead and bought the game+PS4 just because of its awesomeness. It's just a shame for Xb one that AC Unity is more or less the weak link.
