In France, it will be sold in only one single shop. So expect similar ways of distributing in the rest of the world.

There are only 12300 units though. So these will probably be sold out in mere minutes, mind you.
I'm debbating if I should get one...

It sounds like they opened pre-orders in Japan already but it is like a lottery system.

Might be the same elsewhere.  Demand will be high.

Why this is limited, it would have sold really really well :( - perhaps they will release it as a standard bundle after the event.

I'd be willing to buy it if it wasn't £100 more expensive, came with a PS1 bundle, PS1 startup and had backwards compat but as it is it's a mere skin job to me and there's still nothing from the PS4 side that interests me and with the edition being limited I don't ever see myself buying one.

There is also a free dynamic theme that include the original startup sound.
It isn't the full stratup but it's already something!

Sony sure knows how to raise the hype. As mainly a Nintendo fan, I've really come to respect them. 12,300... I wonder what kind of prices it'll fetch online. The Samus Amiibo was the tip of the iceberg.
