If Nintendo was smart (and that's still up for debate), they would reboot Pokemon for the Wii U / 3DS with amiibo counterparts for all 151 originals that users can fully train and customize.

You don't put out other generations right away... you hold back and release them every 2-3 years or so to milk the franchise for all its worth, just as they've been doing for the last two decades. Duh!
And that userbase will grow exponentially due to the younger generation who never got to experience Pokemon 1st gen, and older gamers who grew up with 1st gen going for a nice nostalgia trip.

Yeah, I think so, but since the winner of the "losers" bracket can still win the tournament by beating the winner from the "winners" bracket, it's not wrong to say the Amiibo almost won.
At least that's how I think it works.

No, there is a little metal sticker in the box that is right under the Amiibo so you HAVE to open them to use it

Yea cause Pidgy isn't the first pokemon people encounter in half the games made.
These YOUNGER gamers that you speak up could probably name all 151 originals better than you could.

the player FireFly who later eliminated the amiibo also knocked it down to losers bracket in the first round, so it had the same chances as the human players
