Its that time of year to rank 2014's best games (in my opinion)

5.  Assassins Creed Unity 

Yes I know a lot of people were disappointed with the launch of this game. There were bugs and glitches galore. But if you look past the technical issues you can find an enjoyable story along with some beautiful visuals. Arno is an awesome new Assassin and I cant wait to see what they do with him next.

4. Watch Dogs 

Yes again, another game on the Internet hate train. I personally had an amazing time with this game. The protagonist Aiden Pierce is one of the most badass characters to emerge from 2014. I loved going in to enemy territory and wreaking havoc. Watch Dogs may not be as pretty as GTA 5 but unlike GTA 5 I actually enjoyed the gameplay and story of Watch Dogs so it gets the 4th spot.

3.  Tomb Raider Definitive Edition 

I did not get to play the last gen reboot of Tomb Raider so when the current gen versions were announced I was ecstatic. Picked it up on Day one and plopped the disk into my PS4 and for 12 to 13 hours straight I could not put the controller down. It was amazing from the Uncharted-like sequences to seeing Lara change into the badass heroine we know her to be. Cant wait for Rise. 

2.   inFAMOUS Second Son 

I personally think that infamous is THE BEST next gen exclusive so far. The graphics were outstanding and the gameplay was intense. There literally was never a dull moment in this game. Like Aiden Pierce, Delsin is another badass character to come out in 2014.  He was great and I think its Troy Baker's best work since The Last of Us. The story may not be as large scale as the previous installments but its still good enough to stand on its own. Cant wait to see what happens next in the infamous saga.

1. Dragon Age Inqusition

My GOTY is Dragon Age Inqusition and boy I did not see that coming. After the mediocre Dragon Age 2 I thought I was done with this series but thank God I hung in there. Bioware has outdone themselves with the sheer massive scope of the game. So many places to go and things to do you will log in at least 50 hours in this game. Throw in that amazing Bioware story telling and you have a masterpiece. I could type about Inqusition for hours but I wont spoil for those who haven't played it. I cant wait to see what Bioware will do next in the Dragon Age series.

Honorable Mention Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2

While this game was nowhere near as good as its predecessor in just about every aspect, I still got some enjoyment from the God of War-like gameplay and the final boss was pretty epic as well but thats just about it lol.

1. TRANSISTOR!!!!!! Loved this game! The world they created; the atmosphere, the characters, the story, the gameplay, the music. All fantastic.

Didn't get to play MGS: GZ yet.

I really like your list, aside from Assassin's Creed. I am playing through Origins, then I'll get thru Dragon age 2 and finally get to play Dragon Age Inquisition sometime next year, hopefully when the PC controls gets fixed up a bit.

The lack of Shadow of Mordor is disturbing.
