Why do people want a Pokemon MMO so much? I have fun in Pokemon as a turn based game. Making it real time and action like will just... be another boring action game.

I never said MMO!

MMO Pokemon would suck donkey balls. There's much smarter ways to incorporate persistant MP into a Pokemon console game.

3. You have never played a real-time pokemon game, how do you know it will be boring? You are just afraid of change. Even though that fear is completely irrational. Why would you be afraid of a spinoff having a different battle system, unless of course you have the underlying fear that it will be more succesful.

4. Some people are bored with pokemon's battle system, just because you have fun doesn't mean others will.

5. Fear of change is the exact reason the game industry is stagnating, and pokemon as a series has barely progressed a meter.

5. Yes, meters. The changes to breeding mechanics, Mega-evolution, and EV and IV mechanics are just meters.

If you are not afraid then why do you care? Especially if the game was a spinoff.

All of those changes you mentioned ultimately result in just stat and number changes. They are laugbly simple, especially megaevolutions (strong evidence that gamefreak is running out of ideas). Other RPGs have had "Mega-Evolutions" since 5th gen, i.e limits in FFX. The biggest changes would probably be 3D and color. The most demanding of the pokemons would be red and blue(green) cause it was actually coded to the brink of that system.

Try an actually difficult rpg like Persona and you'll see a world of difference.

Playing Pokemon for its turn based battle system is like going to Florida to taste a coconut. Its so much more than its battle system; if you think changing the battle system would no longer be pokemon than you don't understand what pokemon is.
