Its just a puzzling move by Konami. Even if the game doesnt sell millions, they would be appriciated by the soccer fans on the WiiU and if the next Nintendo console sell really well, those fans would probably choose PES over Fifa in the future.

That's true too, although its unfair to compare the game to Bayonetta and Zombie U since those are two exclusives. If this game was on Wii U, I think it would sell much worse than how it did on the 360 or PS3. |
But think with me, the user base is twice as it was when ACIV launched in the Wii U, and it did something around 210k, but that game had superior versions in the PC/XOne/PS4.
This year, there was no competition for it, just Bayonetta 2. And it could have been the best version, just like Bayonetta 1 is superior in the Wii U.

hmm, maybe you're right but the game had barely any promotion as well. Ubisoft mainly advertised AC Unity. I doubt Rogue would have sold anywhere near 210k on the Wii U.

nintendo would have given some direct time, and acIV sold okay for a bad port.
Rogue was a horrible business decision. Yikes.

Well if Nintendo would have tried to promote it during the directs then it might have sold similarly to AC IV on the Wii U. But who, other than the hardcore Nintendo fans, watches Nintendo directs?
Also remember that AC IV was a big game for the year and got lots of advertising. Similarly if AC Unity released on the WIi U, it would have also sold a similar amount to AC IV on the Wii U. But Rogue? I don't know, it was barely promoted and released at a competitive time of the year.

well they wouldnt have sold so much FW, but the game would have had legs, because there isnt so much else to buy on the wii u for that audience.

By that logic, almost every game except for all the Wii U platformers would end up selling well on the Wii U
.
More importatnly, people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games not really for games like AC.
