GTAV 1,41:1 (playstation co marketing)
FarCry 1,63:1 (ps marketing)
DA:I 1,43:1 (xbox marketig)
CoD 1,13:1 (xbox marketing)
Destiny 1,27:1 (ps marketing)
Wolfenstein 1,22:1 (no co marketing)
Fifa 1,45:1 (xbox co marketing)
SoM 1,36:1 (no co marketing)

hardware ltd salesratio between 1.3 - 1.6:1

so what exactly is ur concluson now???

My conclusion based on that is anything that isn't a shooter (the genre that is generalized as xbox) isn't impacted by exclusive marketing since it all falls into the sales ratio you describe for hardware.  What's your conclusion on it?

Why publishers still go with Microsoft and the Xbox One? Money of course. And the game will still sell well. The difference will have to be huge for publishers to drop Microsoft co-marketing, but then Microsoft will just pay more.

Do you have any facts with numbers to back that up?

It's easy cash for pubs, but the exclusive ad deals are a waste for MS. They may as well just pay pubs to bundle games with the console free, or let people have a game of their choice. That's ultimately what's all about anyway. Value to the consumer.

Basic logic IMO. The amount you pay will have to more than compensate for any money lost due to the marketing on the less popular platform, and the bigger the gap the more money will be required.

M$ shits money. They could buy advertising and timed exclusives and still be in the green as a whole. Just like Windows Phone, they bleed on that platform, but the 3 screens dream must remain alive. So they keep feeding it . The 3 screens is REAL people. Even if the PC side is the only one making all the profit, they have enough money to fund everything else.

Basically you just made it up.

It's been a thing since the fifth gen. Maybe even longer. I don't see it as a big deal anymore. Used to bother me seeing a game like Madden advertised for GameCube but hey. It's not my money.

No, it's logic. As a third party developer, will you ask the same financial compensation from Microsoft when the XB1 sales are almost doubled by PS4 than when sales are 50/50 (like Xbox 360 vs. PlayStation 3)? Of course not, you'll ask more then.

How are the deals made do you know? And it's the publishers that make the deals not devs.
