With the company advertising on their own for both the PS4 and Xbox One, they'd probably get around the same amount of sales on the Xbox One as if Microsoft advertised it, but they'd get a lot more sales on the PS4 since the game is identifying itself with the PS4 also.
You also have to think. I'm sure Microsoft isn't paying millions of dollars in advertising for the developer and say that the developer advertising for both consoles sells 250k more copies on the PS4 than they otherwise would have. 250k at launch plus ~$20 per sale is $5m in profit, so it makes sense that they advertise for both companies rather than just Microsoft.
So yeah, I agree.
