I need to remind people that, back then in April or May, almost EVERYBODY was doubting PS4 would even going to reach 15 m sold before 2015.

I checked my own estimates from 1 year earlier, which says, by the end of 2014 ...

PS4 : 13.7 - 17.5
XB1 : 6.3 - 9.8

Now, I revisit this... By the end of Nov 15, VG data reveals

PS4 : 14.4
XB1 : 7.6

Given that in the remaining time frame 7 years ago, this is how much each console had sold :

PS3 : 3.2
X360 : 2.8

Based on this very rough baseline, I estimate the following figures to be sold for each console in the remaining time till the year's end.

PS4 : 4.9 to 6.5
XB1 : 1.5 to 2.5

and by the end of 2014, coming up to a total of...

PS4 : 19.2 to 20.9
XB1 : 9.1 to 10.1

although I believe the direction will be tilted towards XB1 a bit more due to aggressive price cuts, you can subtract 0.5 from PS4 and add it to XB1. Overall, I expect around 19-20 mil for PS4 and 9-10 mil for XB1

Minimum 19,000,000.

I'm really feeling it!

18 million is definitely possible. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold 19+ million before 2015.

The ps4 is currently doing half million a week WW. There are six weeks left. That is 3 more millions if they just keep that average. We all know that there is black friday week, Christmas week, post Christmas week will have sold way more than the current half million sold in the last week. So 18 millions is actually the minimum now

18 Million is all but given now. 19 Million is also in the realm of possibility.

18m is 100% certain at this point.

15m before BF week, 16m after BF week. Then another ~600k+ puts it at 16.6m around the PS Experience in early Dec. Add another ~800k the week after and we're at 17.4m+. The week before Christmas week will be huge with 1m+, which puts PS4 at 18.4m++ and then Christmas week itself should be close to 1m as well, putting PS4 at 19.4m+ with one week remaining of the year, where PS4 should sell around 400k putting it very close to 20m.
