That actually should also mean you would love to see MS or Sony going 3rd Party as then you have to buy one console less, right?

Yes, I would love for there to be a unified console where all publishers release their games for that platform. Consumers wouldn't have to worry about what console to get.

My problem with Nintendo is that their games do not drop in price.

That quality!! Seriously though, its all blamed on amazing legs, its the sole reason why nintendo can do this.

Nintendo going 3rd party would be devastating for gaming in general. Not only would it give one less competitor in the console market, it would destroy Nintendo as a company. They would be as irrelevant as Sega. Look at Sonic Boom if you want proof.

Its also neglected that Nintendo makes games that make the most of their systems. They end up being uniquely Nintendo games because of the various techniques they use to maximize their games. And I dunno if you haven't noticed, but most of the innovation when it comes to controllers comes from Nintendo. The next big evolution in control almost always comes from a Nintendo system. MS and Sony would Stagnate and the industry would die without Nintendo making consoles.

God, another one of these threads? They just don't stop coming.. -__-

Nintendo actually had decent 3rd party support during the GC days, its just that most of the big 3rd party AAA games that gen were PS2 exclusive or timed exclusive like GTA, MGS, the mainline FF games, Kingdom Hearts, etc.

Nintendo's biggest problem with 3rd parties is their refusal to share the spotlight with them and promote them on their platforms.  Take a look at the current holiday lineup of software for PS4 / X1 that's being advertised on TV and other media, and especially the games that are being bundled with the consoles for the holidays.  Notice anything?  Almost all of them are 3rd party, non-exclusive titles... when was the last time you saw a Nintendo console being bundled with a 3rd party game ?

The only one I can think of is the Star Wars Episode 1 Racer set on N64...

I believe the GC also had a limited edition RE4 bundle but that was released only outside of NA to my knowledge.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Firstly, Sega are very relevant in PC gaming...

Secondly, Sonic Boom wasn't even made by Sega, it was outsourced to Big Red Button.

And they are in litigation over Aliens Colonial Marines. They also published Sonic Boom. They are a shell of themselves on consoles.

I have owned every Nintendo console except the Wii u(wait until it sells for $100 before buying)

Nintendo hasn't had real third party support since super Nintendo because they still had a monopoly on the console market (they did have some challengers but none of them got a real share of the market)

Once they lost their monopoly to the ps, since then they have been surviving off handhelds and Mario/Zelda.

The problem with this that the handheld market is their monopoly (please don't bring up vita) is challenged by mobile gaming.  It might go away as fast as their console business but it will eventually resort to Mario/Zelda which is a niche market.

They should be transitioning to a software only company, if they continue this path.

Then again this my opinion and I was to lazy to include any statistics to support my claims but still just my two cents

YES !!

NIntendo suffered from the Wii.

Not to forget that they lost money on each Wii sold and the PS3 and XBox360 made money from day one!!

As Move is clearly better Nintendo must release Wii Sports Club immidiatly on the PS4 to fix it.

The GamePad is a mess. A traditional controller is much better - even for ArtAcademy!

Of course Nintendo should sell some real estatement first before going virtual. Also putting their bonds to "junk" status is needed to shock and awe their developers.

It also can't hurt to ask for money for network services which are used by flawed games...

Oh yeah - going a software third-party developer is clearly a of big benifit to all of us gamers...

The moment they go 3rd party the moment I quit gaming and thier games will become terrible.

STOP WISHING FOR THAT AND BUY THEM ON THEIR HARDWARE DAMN IT!
