Considering the Wii U version is even worse...

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

"Sonic Boom artificially extends its length by forcing you to play through the same levels several times. Completing a stage often won't unlock the next one; you need to collect all six crystals and five blueprints to earn enough special rings to move on. This means laboriously going through the same huge level over and over until you finally find all the hidden trinkets."

God damn BRB

I'm surprised. The 3ds version looked better. I would have expected no less than a 5/10 for this. More likely a 6/10... The Wii U version faring far worse, of course.

Wow! That is more than I was expecting! Congratz!

I swear to god, I wish Nintendo didn't give money* to Sega for this nonsense Sonic exclusivity deal... Not only did it not help the wiiU sales but the money could have been spent elsewhere like localizing Fatal Frame V with a Christmas Custom DLC. Sighh, Sega, Sonic is ur fucking mascot yet you have zero quality control over him, what the fuck is wrong with you? Just take Sonic to the graveyard already and never let come back again.

Its like Nintendo is the only company that knows how to make 3d platformers right. Like come on, is it really that hard to make a AAA 3d platforming game that doesn't suck? :/

*I am presuming Nintendo gave them money cause I doubt Sega is nice enough to do it for free

From the demo it is not a speed crazy game, it is more classic plat forming design. Honestly it feels more like Genesis Sonic when he wasn't always fast. The demo level was large, almost too big in regards to relaying levels and exploring for collectables. One thing that felt odd was going left and back into level layers instead of a constant right movement.

I am still waiting for a true successor to the amazing Sonic Advance trilogy, but this didn't seem terrible from what I played.
