So this is the game that´s using every ounce of power from the PS4/X1...yeah, fuck you Ubisoft.

There is a diference between using all the available power and using it efficiently. This is what happens when you brute force a game this ambitious in scope and scale, on hardware that lacks the brute force power (expecially in terms of the CPU). You end up with shitty performance. Don't worry as always devs will learn what corners to cut to produce well optimised games for the hardware as always.

Absolutely shameful.

The announcement trailer was great, but all info / PR since then has just been a massive "fuck you" to gamers. Not buying it.

MS needs to hurry and get Xbox away from this game.

Bit late now, especially considering how well the bundle seems to have been selling.

Which is why reviews come out later today lol

Review embargo = sub 80 metascore

Its crazy that Dragon Age reviews are out before this game's and its launch day.

Guess it shows confidence on the product...good on EA for letting Bioware take their time on DAI, instead of the very short development time they were allowed on DA2..and for allowing Visceral extra time to polish Battlefield Hardline (one would hope so), delaying it till early next year, after the shitshow that was the B4 performance.

As of this moment, Ubisoft is worse than EA on the 'shit list'.

Because you would expect the next gen Assassin's Creed to run better than the last gen Assassin's Creed.

Well in the case of Black Flag where the current gen version was a prettied up version of the last gen version that was true. Unity however was designed to not be able to even run on last gen consoles. Sadly their big next gen features including a 10X increase in onscreen NPCs, seamless building interiors,  lots more animations with better blending etc are all heavy on the CPU.

They should have just stuck to making prettier versions of the old games. That way they would have had better performance.

This has nothing to do with learning. Those are seasoned devs that are programming on a well known hardware architecture. Shit like this happens when a certain publisher doesn't want to spend more time and money to do it properly.

There is a thread here saying framerate drops add to the games... more cinematic.

lol

This.

Its more cinematic with sub 30 fps guys. We should all rejoice that our games now run just like movies.

Ah... Ubisoft. I'm starting to just laugh at the mention.

well that sucks, glad I decided to wait on this game.
