All shooters released this year had higher attach rates on Xbox, as they will continue to do so throughout the generation imo.

You missed the point. The total sales of a franchise doesn't determine how great a seller it is. At least I don't see it that way. For PS, GTA> CoD. That's like saying Forza is a bigger seller than GT because they release one Forza almost every year, which we all know is not the case.

If you're talking single games then fine. But my post said COD. Not COD BLOPS or MW. COD is a bigger seller than GTA on PS3, simple as that. You misunderstood it as me referring to a single game.

As for PS3 software sales this year: This might surprise you but PS3 is #1 in software sales this year of ALL platforms, including next gen. FIFA 15 has already sold almost 2.5m on it, GTAV has sold 1.8m this year, Minecraft has sold 1.8m this year (retail only), CoD Ghosts has sold 1.5m this year and so on.
Actually now that the game is out, I'm surprised that there really isn't a WiiU version.

And its good you mention those because AC isn't as big as any of them.

Yes, and unlike those two other shooters, COD had exclusive marketing for the Xbox platforms + hardware bundle for Xbone, not to mention that it has been advertised exclusively for Xbox for years now... I'm sure that pushed it a little more.
And frankly, Destiny had 50% ratio on Xbox platforms so the difference is not THAT major. Like I said, Xbox will always have a high attach rate for shooters, perhaps this share will grow in favor of PS4 as opposed to Xbone throughout the generation once last generation consoles die and PS4 devours more of the casual shooter fans, but shooters will always perform comparatively better on Xbone than other genres imo

Point being what exactly? FIFA is recently released, will go on to sell about 5m. GTAV has already sold a huge amount. Minecraft will keep selling forever, should sell almost 4m (retail) this year. CoD Ghosts released last year.
