I can't have been the only one who noticed how much thinner and sickly-looking he was in today's Direct compared to before his hospitalization. 

Hope he's doing okay and it's just standard recovery.

Damn man looks like they lost too much weight. I hope it's just a temporary state.

Yeah, surgery does that I guess. He's relatively luck though to be honest. He's required to take yearly medicals I believe as part of his position as president of Nintendo. If he wasn't, who knows may something like that could've gone unnoticed for years and become cancerous. So being president of Nintendo may have literally saved his life. 

So at least there's that. Iwata has always looked younger than his actual age, now he's starting to look more his age. I'm sure he will regain weight as the months go on though.

I didn't noticed until u pointed it out Curl... his speech in English was slower than usual too. The weight loss was apparent as well.

But it's good to see him doing Directs again . Here's to a speedy recovery!

Poor Iwata. Glad his weight is stable though.

He does look younger than most people his age.

And here I thought it was cause of too much wii fit U (too soon?)

But yea, I hope he gets better, for all the bads he has done to Nintendo, he has also done a lot of good as well

Yeah, I saw it as well. It looked like his suit was too big on him during the Direct, so I could tell he lost a lot of weight post-surgery. Didn't look particularly healthy.
