Personally, I'm hoping for a Metroid: Warriors game more than anything!

Then of sending a charge beam across the battlefield with x's flying everywhere!!!

I think badgenome has the right idea. Final Fantasy has over a dozen games, scores of playable and non-playable characters, and a legion of devoted fans. Plus, the sword and sorcery setting would mesh well with the Warriors framework.

Obviously fire Emblem would be a good candidate.

Given we're getting a DQ one then next one should be FF entry.

Of your suggestions, the Smash Warriors has the most potential. Not sure if a Mushroom Kingdom Warriors would work, though I'm sure they could manage it. Other M, as bad as the story was, showed that Metroid looks pretty cool with lots of action, and Prime 3 and Hunters greatly expanded the character potential. But there's not that many iconic Metroid characters, really. Lylat Warriors probably wouldn't work because it's all vehicular combat, with the on foot combat not very developed for anyone but Krystal and Fox. If we're gonna go with superheroes and villains, an Arkham Warriors isn't the way to go. Marvel or DC Warriors would be better. Of the ones you didn't list in your suggestions, these sound like they have the most potential to me:
