Forums - Gaming - GTA 5 Is 1080p/30fps On PS4 And Xbox One

Not too susprising, PS4 probably couldn't hit full 60 so they locked it at 30. I hope there are some extra enhancements on the PS4 version though if it's going to be running at the same resolution and frame rate as the X1.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Meh, I'd rather have 60fps tbh.

because a game looking good sells your game to casuals better than a game performing well. casuals = $$$ and that's who Rockstar has been targeting with GTA V.

Can't tell if serious.

Are we talking about the same casuals that went gaga over graphics-intensive juggernauts like Wii Sports last gen?

The same casuals that can't figured out how to play a game that doesn't use motion controls or requires the use of two analog sticks simultaneously?

Not necessarily. Talking about the casuals that would require a 'skip mission' function to get through gta 5. The kind that would have a hard time completing a mission like:https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-1XCzTrPzI

I'm most certain Rockstar wouldn't mind the Wii Sports audience and coincidentally, you can play tennis and do yoga in GTA 5. You can watch a movie if you want or play the missions which are almost like movies in themselves. Just make sure to follow the constant on-screen prompts so that you don't get lost.

Rockstar wants to sell to any videogame fan be it core or casuals.

I'm sure they want to. Problem is who do you tailor the game for? If it's too easy, core gamers will get bored. If it's too challenging, you frustrate the casuals. You can go after both audiences but then you're chasing two rabbits and if I recall correctly, GTA 5 didn't have a difficulty setting.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either.

To be honest, GTA has never really impressed me, it's always struck me as more of a glorified "run over civilians and murder prostitutes" simulator than any kind of well constructed gameplay experience, but what little I've played of GTA5 slid under the already low bar I had for it, presenting me with some of the most unlikeable, unrelatable, despicable protagonists I've ever had the displeasure of playing as.

Missions were boring, and goofing around was mildly distracting for about 15 minutes before losing all appeal.

I actually liked Trevor as a character: he was the best of all three. The torture sequence did bother me though not only because of its lame mechanics but also because it's just a grotesque thing to have to do (on second thought, maybe the lame mechanics weren't such a bad thing. I'd rather not an elaborate torture sim exist, ever). Would have preferred it not being there at all but Rockstar's gotta make sure to sell as many units as possible and controversy does help even at the cost of gameplay.

I do prefer 720p/60, 900p/60, 1080/60. Sometimes I think developers sacrifice 30fps in order to achieve 1080p, thats a shame, but if they don't do so, the outrage would be bigger.

In this case I would suspect the CPU is limiting the game to 30fps than the high resolution.  GTA games are known for running 30fps or lower due to lots of NPCs, open world, etc.

I hate parity. The PS4 version better have superior lighting, anti-aliasing, etc... Boycott GT5PS4!!!!

Just kidding. I have this pre-ordered. That 1st person trailer looks awesome.

Its a joke its not 1080p 60fps, no excuse for this

You'll get nothing and like it.

OT: 30 FPS is fine by me.
