Forums - Nintendo - New Nintendo Direct November 5

Expectations kept in check equals expectations met. Splatoon single player is looking great (sad that someone is trolling the title in this thread for who knows what reason). Captain Toad continues to impress, but I'm sure I'll wait until next year sometime to get it. It's more of a cash flow problem than a lack of interest. Between buying MK8 DLC, SBU and a few Amiibo, and who knows what indie games/VC games pop up, I can't really justify another $50-$60. So if there is a drought in 2015, I'll welcome it. Still need to catch up as it is.

They say that every year, and it's always a lie. They just don't learn.

Here we go again!

So um... do we know if Xenoblade Chronicles X has multiplayer??

There's no good reason for games like Yoshi and Mario Maker not to be out in Q1. We saw gameplay footage of Yoshi in January of 2013 for Pete's sake, and any decent studio could have cobbled Mario Maker together in a few months.

Mario Maker is Q1...

Yea, well that is kind of expected by now. Just think that they are doing it for you. As otherwise you'll be running out of breathing room. o.O

I thought they only labelled it "first half of 2015", then promptly failed to mention it in this Direct.

Well X is not killing FFXV soon with this downgrade... Might pick it up in Spring nonetheless.

There is no need for this. Xenoblade looks amazing all things considered. The world is be even bigger than the first game, the scale of the game is wonderful with some beautiful landscapes.

We, my friend, should be glad that this ambitious genre is getting real attempts to make high quality games despite the console that the game is on.

He needs to make himself feel better

Anywayz im very exciting for both games, XCX has this huge open world im waiting to explore, and imo FFXV looks to be just as great in terms of sheer gameplay (timewise/exploration). These titles are a no brainer for massive jrpg fans especially if you have both a wiiu and a ps4/x1 console.

Agreed. The high quality is obvious in both titles, I never understood the need for having unfruitful attempts to downplay games that have much in common.

As for me, Xenoblade might be the game that finally push me to get a WiiU.

So Nintendo is repeating their mistakes they made in 2014 with Wii U game lineup in 2015,only having one title for Spring 2015

I thought they said no more droughts like last time lol

They say that every year, and it's always a lie. They just don't learn.

Yeah its pretty sad, they have 12 games in development currently(confirmed) and they cant get stuff like Splatoon and Yoshi's Wooly World out in early/first half of 2015? thats just...sad

then Xenoblade Chronicles X went from being a 2014 title, to now its  not even a solid  2015 title and just be ''targeted'' thats just... damn

Nintendo is going to have like 1 game in 6 months again like this year o.O

Yeah, Nintendo's inability to deliver games in a timely fashion this gen is continuing to hamstring any opportunity they have to gather momentum.

Yes. Nintendo still has a big list to learn.

Toad is $40, no?
