People have to realize that Sony isn't in the position of absorbing losses. Even if the gaming division is profitable right now, it hasn't been enough to cover the massive losses they have been having in the other division so they have to ride the generation at the maximum price they can have. IMO they aren't going to make drastic changes this holiday, they rather wait for next holiday when cost have gone down to provide better value/deals next holiday.

Sony wont lose money, MS can afford it in a desperate move.

meh ms has more money to throw than sony simple as that
sony are looking at profit margins, ms are obviously losing money on the xbox with all these sales

I think they're holding off the discounts/ bundles until BF. They can probably close the "gap" considerably in NA from sales on this day alone. 

Sony is small potatoes compared to MS.

This is just MS showing they have deeper pockets. They can afford to drop their price. Acting like Sony some how controls the entire industry is laughable. They don't.

Well that's a silly theory. America is the largest gaming market in the world, so why would they want to just let MS take it?

Where did i say they are going to let them take it lol. They arent letting them take it, 3 days of amazon rankings and X1 is taking US lol come on.   But they are happy to let ms focus all their efforts there whiel the world is easily theirs.
