There is no "the PC's". The majority of gaming PCs is infact inferior to PS4. Understandable. I myself don't see any reason to upgrade my PC.
Hunting Season is done...

Mine isn't.
In-fact, my PC is equivalent to roughly 10-11x Playstation 4's in terms of compute performance, next year that number will grow once AMD releases it's new graphics processors.
You are correct that the Playstation 4 is more powerfull than millions of PC's on the market, but that's like saying that the PS4 is faster than the millions of old Playstation 3's, however, there are millions of PC's that make the Playstation 4 look like a calculator in terms of compute performance.
And thanks to the consoles increasing the baseline hardware requirements, more people are going to be willing to upgrade their hardware, rather than stick with a 6-7 year old PC that can run everything.
Converesly, Steam grew by roughly 25 million active users in only 9 months, the Playstation 4 and Xbox One combined can't even manage that.
It is now appropriate for me to use this:

And like clockwork this thread will soon become a PC versus thread... and there will always be a lame righteous excuse as to why that happens.
Maybe I should make a thread about it. Cause I think some PC people just don't get it, unless of course they are trying to be annoying.

This isn't aimed just at you Dane007 at all, because I mean in motion like it was said (by someone) some of these games look as tho it's the same... and that is fair enough if you want to say you are experiencing the same game, gameplay/story wise. But that would be like someone playing Halo on the original Xbox and saying that it feels and is more or less the same as the anniversary edition 10 years later on the X360, it plays, sounds and more or less is the same game. But does that mean that there isn't a massive difference in graphics there? of course not. |
The one with bus, the difference would be duE to res of the game where the would win lol. i wouldn't noticed it much like the painted lines on the road from those pictures or in motion , until you pointed it out. i still don't see how those extra lines make it a big graphical power differrence between the two.
Lol i understand but , but the differrence is huge between halo back in the day and the anniversary edition , however the ones shown in this thread for the current gen games are not as big ass the difference between halo and halo anniversary edition . That difference, wven a person who doesn't play games can tell lol.
If we're talking about optimal optimization using raw power, X1-PS4 discrepancy will always be bigger than 360-PS3 in any case. That being said, the discrepancy can be huge in any case, you just have to pick up the wrong developer for the job.
In both cases we're mostly looking at varying degrees of insignificance lol.
In other news PS3 stronger then PS4 confirmed? :p

No, the PS3 just has a stronger CPU than the CPU of the PS4.

The Cell has superior floating point performance. It lags behind in everything else.

I know I was just being silly :p
The assertion that the gap between the PS3 and 360 is larger than the one that exists between the PS4 and XBOne is frankly hilarious. First, this is physically impossible due to the disparity between the PS4 and XBOne's GPUs. Secondly, multiplatform games were nearly identical 99% of the time in the previous generation with only a few exceptions such as Bayonetta. Furthermore, even in the case of multiplatform games having inferior resolutions / frame rates on the PS3 the difference was considerably less then the gaps that we are seeing between the current systems.
Many games which the PS4 runs at 1080 the XBOne runs at 900 and that is a difference of 44%. That's bigger than the gap between the PS3 and 360 versions of GTA IV (31% higher on 360) and Red Dead Redemption (25% higher on 360). Do I need to remind you of CoD: Ghosts and MGS: Ground Zeroes (125% higher on PS4)? Sorry but there is a clear answer here and it is that you are clearly wrong.
