Sorry about the guys doing damage control or anything like.

Truth is in a techinical point the Xbone is inferior and nobody can deny that.

Now in terms of OS and feature you can say it is personal and I will agree but the base core system for games is years ahead what Xbone have now.

An $350 for the Kinectless won't help to catch PS4... won't help even get close... they need to sell (my prediction from January 2014) $350 the Kinect Xbone SKU and at least $300 the Kinectless to start to thing in enter in the competition.

I think every company is more focused on selling their console. Everyone is just trying to sell games and hardware and if they make a profit, hey they're happy. In Sony's case, the hit the sweet spot in which they sell the most and make the most profit. Hey, I want Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to turn a profit. It's the only way the market stays healthy.

Years ahead?  Really? Maybe minutes or hours, but years no way.

Overall experience I would say that the X1 is the one that is closer to being years ahead.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

i think its more about perception than anything else. In that regard, i agree with OP, PS4 is the "It" console at the moment and its going to be tough for X1 to reverse that perception.

In that sense people do see X1 as an inferior product but that doesn't mean it actually is.

The example is fine, but i thought it was explained incorrectly. It's not that the iPod is better than the Zune but that the majority of people thought it was better. Which is really the only thing that counts when looking at two competing products.

The 3DS is the "it device" of portable console gaming. Does that make the Vita a failure? No. What made the Vita a failure is not finding a significant audience and support mostly dying.

It doesn't matter if the X1 is the "it device." Ultimately being a success and developing a strong userbase is the goal.
