vita, vita tv (japan) and playstation tv (elsewhere) presumably.  pretty bad, given it will include initial shipments for pstv globally.

It still does include the PSP.. i was on my mobile a second but now on my Mac + Firefox I can see it on the image..

It includes it for the previous FY comparison.  They dont ship PSP's any more.


They still ship that gimped version to Europe

Yep.. I'm a little surprised about the z3v... And the z3 promotion at carrier stores tho.. But it aint enough

THANK YOU Sony for splitting shipments again, with just MS doing it now hopefully they revert back to the status quo.

Also I was spot on with my predictions. Great hardware results for Sony.

The culprit: mobile division, why the hell is it bleeding so much money???

I dont want them to stop making phones but those cheap Chinese smartphones are even hurting Samsung.

Another loose so sad
It's funny how a lot of people say that Sony should make a vita phone when their smartphone doing bad



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

mixed results IMO.

Pro:

- hardware shipment for PS4
- a lot more divisions profitable now

Con:

- obviously mobile is a mess and it won't change anytime soon
- PSVita / PSTV is a failure
- The profitable divisions are only profitable because of the weak Yen

 

If the Yen strengthens again, Sony is in even bigger problems.



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

That loss is terrible but expected.
PS4 shipments are great but I expected the division to be more profitable.

Its funny that Japan is considered a basketcase economically, yet Abe has to do massive Quantitative Easing to dileberately drive the Yen down. Why does the Yen naturally tend to strenghthen? For anyone who is interested look up the works of Eamonn Fingleton about Japan on Forbes. His works are a massive eye opener.
