Sony contract with PS4 is in dollar... not in yen anymore... so for PS3 weak yen was better but for PS4 not.

Sony is not only about PS4. It is disrespectful to type cast a conglomerate as a gaming-only company.

Sony really needs to trim a lot of their divisions... they are losing so much money... Just cut off the ones that are bankrupting them... otherwise they are in for a hard few years.

They didn't actually lose any money, they figuratively did. The loss is due to a writedown, which means that their company is simply at a lesser value, but doesn't mean they lost money. If they were to sell their company, they would get less for it...but until then, the money isn't technically gone.
