Can't comment on Sleeping Dogs (haven't read up on it yet), but TEW is the result of piss poor optimization. Even if it was full 1080p i'd consider its current performance instability the result of poor optimization, but at 1920x768 and 1600x640? That's downright embarrassing.

Its poorly optimized and it was published by the company that owns the game engine. Its mind boggling!

It's obviously a fake but it seems the fake gets more coverage than the real information, being this technical comparison between both consoles from ubisoft

You still get 24000 pixels per dollar. That's a bargain!

I'm guessing you had little interest in this game regardless of the resolution.

Developers just hold back because they want to pace it out over the generation.

Not that it really matters though, as long as the game is fun.


If you're bottled on the CPU for your lighting engine and rendering engine, then it doesn't matter how big your GPU is or how high its throughput. You're not getting over the CPU bottleneck and they either can't, won't, or efficiency is out the window, push it to GPGPU handling. You can scale the graphics with the GPU all you want up to 1080p, but the rendering and lightning engine won't have a clue what to do with it because it doesn't have the power to render at that scale.

That is assuming this is true about the CPU and rendering factoids.



He talks about 1080p but only explain why the framerate is locked at 30fps because of the CPU. But what about the resolution? We know resolution almost doesn't depend of the CPU bottlneck.

Still doesn't answer at all the 900p parity lock, only the 30fps lock. But people don't care about the 30fps lock, people know AC games were, are and will be 30fps.

And from what we saw from the XB1 build, the XB1 can't handle 900p30fps either.



Just to be clear.... all according to whoever this guy is; 9 months ago the game was running at 9fps, then after optimizing (which mind you is what every dev does when making a game) they got it to 720p/30fps, then they just got it to 900p/30fps a few weeks ago. But somehow thats all the optimization they can do and the PS4 can't handle running better.

So basically the PS4 is maxed out at the same point the XB1 was able to reach?

Sigh... Ubisoft. Please just shut up.



oh well. better get the Xb1 version. it might be one of the only multiplats to have parity



It is near the end of the end....

so if ps4 is at 100% how can the xone be on the same level if the game is the same resolution and framerate on both consoles ?
