Forums - Website Topics - I really don't like Banned peoples posts disappearing

It makes all of their interesting posts/threads useless.

Take Legend11 for example, he has (or should I say 'had') some interesting threads up and running, now they are useless and I can't join in because I can't see the original post.

I think only incriminating posts should be deleted, manually or what-not.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I hate that. Theres no point in many threads now due to people being banned.

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

I think it's a useless feature, I've never seen it elsewhere, so why here?

Wonder why he got banned.

^he asked.

Wait, can't you go to their profiles and look at their "View all posts" and see what they said? I know it's not the best way to do it... But it's not like you can't read them.

I definately agree with you AoA.
Sure it was appropritate when there was that spammer, where you have to scroll through the whole page full of spam.
But now that the 30 sec rule has been implemented its just useless.
It makes it hard to read or join in a thread were someone got banned.

What should happen is that it starts out invisible, but right beside the 'reply' button, there's a 'view post' button.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Well I'd like to read their posts to but I can see why they're blocked out.

Not anymore.  Apparently, it was recently changed so that instead of their posts appearing as blank, they simply don't appear at all.  This is even worse, because you can't even click on their profile and then read their posts.  It completely ruins the thread of discussion, IMO.  Even incriminating posts shouldn't be deleted unless they contain particularly offensive information, like someone going on a porn-posting-spree or something.  Otherwise, let the banned person's posts stand and serve as an example to others of how they should not behave, as well as evidence as to why they were banned.
