Never played reach, but I have a friend who works for 343 and pretty sure that was his first game he helped develop. Not exactly sure what he does in regards to games, should really ask him more about it, he went to school for computer engineering. So guessing some kind of coding, debugging, ect.

My all time favorite Halo game is Reach due to it's great atmosphere, both visually and sound; gameplay, and story mode. I also really enjoyed the Forge world and despite some critisim the online (in my opinion) was really fun. Halo 3 is also an amazing game and very close to Reach for my favorite of the series... Don't judge me but I've actually only played Combat evolved a couple times. And I honestly did not enjoy Halo 4.
But WHY NOT INCLUDE REACH?!?! Halo 4 is not even made by Bungie and it's included. So silly in my opinion. I'll still enjoy the final game, don't get me wrong. Especially with how ORGASMIC Halo 2 remastered is looking, but still. I am a lover of Halo Reach. |
For a start it is called the MASTER CHIEF collection and as far as I am aware he does not appear in halo reach, ODST or halo wars. So that would be the reason why this is only those 4 games.
Still a fucking sweet deal though.
Um the only problem is its not out yet.
Reach is certainly better than other shooters, but halo 1 - 4 are all betterthan reach. 4 having way better sound, graphics and story. Bungie missed a story trick with reach.
I actually prefer Reach over 3 and 4 but yeah, Kowen said it perfectly, it's the MC collection. And it's obviously to get gamers prepared for 5.
there isn't that much Master Chief in Halo Reach. Maybe there's gonna be some repack in the future. Halo Reach, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars and Halo Spartan Assault.
They will call it: Halo Random Collection
Maybe also throw in Halo Legends and Halo 4 Forward unto Dawn while they're at it.
It's called the MASTER CHIEF Collection for a reason...

I have small theory that the op hasn't played Reach. As he cleary didn't know MC wasn't in the game.
I Think they hinted at a future collecttion containing Reach/ODST/Wars. This is the Master Chief Collection, which I am personally happy with since 1 & 4 are my favorites in the series :).
Meh. Reach's campaign is blah anyways, and the other 4 games will provide more than enough of a great multiplayer experience so therefore Reach becomes really unnecessary. And as others said, this is the Master Chief collection, of which Reach has nothing to do with.
