With the recent announcment that Assasin's Creed: Unity is 990p and 30fps on both the XB1 and PS4 it left a lot of gamers in the "pissed off" category. Now with the rumor that Dragon Age might be the same way, it my actually cause a few websites to go offline with the hate.
SO, besides the M$ marketing deals or some back door agreement, what is the real reason?
I am hoping that a few technical people could help us all out by providing some PROOF that Ubisoft is just making some BS excuses about the CPU bound problems with its game design.
Some links to credible(not GAF) sources and maybe some links or even dropped in info showing/explaining how the CPU doesn't matter.
Until this has been put out there, the fanboys on one side will say its possible, and the fanboys on the other will say they are crazy.
If you can provide proof for either side of the debate, bring it on. If not, don't bother to say the other side is wrong.

Big tech guy here; it is simply marketing bs from them.
The devs don't want to admit that a) the consolves vary a huge amount in power, b) the hardware of the consoles is already very dated
The ps4 is just shy of 2 tflops which means it really should be able to play games like ACU at 1080 30fps - if not 1080p, then 45fps +. But clearly they are capping the performance to the lowest console (xbone). Why they are doing this hits me as a backhander from MS to the publishers/devs as they shouldn't really give a toss which looks better or which platform sells more as they still get the same returns.
The other issue is that I think the devs don't want people to see that they have forked out a few hundred £/$ for a new peice of kit....which is far outstripped by a PC which costs either the same or fractionally more, because then it shows the consoles to be anything but cutting edge.
Either way, we, the gamers are getting shafted by morons in charge and frankly boycotting these games would be the best option.
