I dont think you fully understand why RWH was banned, or simply do not accept that his history is the big sway here. Again, the thread was created to stir trouble and piss people off. In one post he says the topic needs to be brought up again and in another post he says that he hasnt seen any topic about it. He has posts talking about Sony remasters in different threads to boot. 

Abbath has one moderation since 2013 and that is to do with religion. His history has nothing to do with the topic, his post or anything else and him pointing out RWH's well known, well documented and well moderated Nintendo leaning history in a thread aimed at getting a rise out of people should not be moderated. Beyond that, even if you think a few people "broke the rules", Ill just remind you that they are guidelines first and foremost and common sense is pushed in front of them in situations like this.

RWH is a well known trouble causer. toastboy was a well known trouble causer. RWH made a controversial thread about Sony, after a well documented history of trashing Sony and baiting Sony fans. Toastboy made controversial threads about Nintendo, after a well documented history of trashing Nintendo and baiting Nintendo fans.

5 selections and thats just the tip of the iceberg. His post history is full of digs, baiting, trolling and attacking people. With this history taken into account and the lies told, its a pretty easy decision to make. And yeah, Im more than happy to give someone a chance if they fall for the bait.

I didnt agree or disagree with you on stealth trolling. It is a major problem on these forums. I was agreeing with outlawauron (iirc) when he said he wouldnt want to be a part of a forum where posting about something you do not like is unwelcome. There is a difference though between posting about something you do not like and constantly doing your best to trash something and piss people off.

The moderator has given his reasoning for his ban on the issue, other mods have come in and given their take on the issue. And from what I see, Carl has done a great job in expressing his reasoning for the ban and how he went about it. Shinobi has also been helpful in providing another perspective on the issue. Are people seriously questioning whether or not RWH baits with posts and threads? Comparing this user to Toastboy is completely justified in my opinion, as someone who has seen his history and even moderated him myself; this is not something to be argued, it's simply a fact that this has been his game for some time.

Not sure what it is that i did wrong here. Keeping in mind what the parameters are of this thread. I gave my opinion on how i would have handled the entitlement thread, and you seem to agree that the thread needed "closer observation". The mods who dealt with the report obviously felt differently about the thread, and to get a direct answer for you and padib I raised the query in the mod chat to get a reply from whomever made the decision. I also suggested a pm to the head mods as at that point the question was around a particular thread and user.

I dont agree with everything you an padib said though through out this discussion, and i stand by my stance. If me not doing a great job simply means not agreeing with you and padib then so be it. The aim of me participating in this discussion was to 1. Give my general view on stealth trolling 2. Give my opinion on how i would have handled the moderations/non moderations in question 3. To try and get some answers to the questions you guys had. I actually enjoy participating in this thread, and i try my best to make it contructive.

Feel free to point out exactly where i went wrong (probably best to do this in a pm) and il read it carefully and respond. But simply throwing around mod criticism in public without any explanation doesnt really help anyone.

I have a question for a Mod just so I don't get in trouble if I do it. I was going to create a thread about E3 predictions for sonys conference and make everyone guess all the announcements. Whoever gets the most right would win a $10 psn voucher courtesy of me. Would that be okay?

Just had a quick look round and I can't see a thread for Sony predictions in the same vein as this one (though that doesn't mean there isn't one), so if that's the case I'm sure the mod team wouldn't have any objections to you making the thread
