Does it really seem that bad? I mean i didn't expect FH2 to beat it but other than that wats  wrong with its debut? O.o

Smash is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises and seems to have grown exponentially with each instalment, to the point where the 3DS version had the highest opening in Japan ever?

I was just expecting this version to do a little better, that's all.  I guess looking from the numbers breakdown here it's never been particularly massive in Europe.

Yeap, i get that. Europe is definitely not one of SSB strongest regions but i expect much better in France/Germany. But we all kno the legs will be huge so regardless of its 30k-40k debut (forgot the number).

i think japan's record breaking FW messed up our judgement. There's also the fact its first time on HH, but its not fully excusable.

Anyway I think US is where is going to be big, we'll see in NPD, i expect over 700k First 2 days

I think you're overestimating the 3DS version's potential in the west. It's doing fantastic in Japan for sure, but Japan is handheld territory. Wii U is where it's at in the west, SSB for 3DS is merely an appetiser.

nah, i dont think i am (for the US at least). i do agree that the sales will be much closer in the west of wiiu and 3ds versions. Im still expecting 700k+ for ssb in the us fw

Plenty of people think that XBO will take back the UK and US.

Why not? You expect only 360 users to decide for Xbox One? Forza Horizon 2 is a very good and funny game and so it will attract people who bought an Xbox One, no matter where they came from originally.

That didn't change it is not a big franchise that have legs.

Why do you expect a small franchise that didn't show legs to became bigger and have legs when the userbase is becoming smaller?

Lack of games early on a gen, the successor is even better than the phenomenal predecessor, "more active userbase" as every start of a gen, it is released at a better time so it gets more attention with word of mouth, just to add a few things.

Saw people online saying x1 was going to dominate UK just because it outsold pd4 last week narrowly.  Some never learn.

XBO could still take it back, we will have to see this holiday how close they are in UK/USA.

great for Middle Earth!

Pretty weak launch for Smash. Thought it would be much bigger, but this is the UK so.
