Yeah, that looks like another Tekken.

I thought switching to the Unreal Engine would have a bigger impact on the visuals.

Everything is offscreen, we cant judge the games visuals just yet. Despite that its clear they've put a lot of work into character and clothing animations, damage to the environment is now permanent and we've got particles for days. They're probablly targetting 60fps to boot so what level of visuals do you have in mind?

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

No bandwidth hogging GAF gifs? Disappointed!

Oh, I'm sure the character models and backgrounds are more detailed than ever. But at a glance, its not making much of a leap.

They kinda hyped the switch to Unreal Engine. So I was just expecting something a little more significant.

Yeah, judge the visuals once you see a direct feed footage OR once they have footage of the console version as this is the arcade version only. Not to mention the alpha version. Tekken games tend to release several versions of their arcade version even before they introduce the console version. And no. not just the alpha, beta or whatever but a whole different version altogether with new characters, new stages, new graphical improvements, new moves and such. Do keep that in mind.

Compared to Killer Instinct and what we've seen of Mortal Kombat X this seems like the biggest leap in a fighting game. And thats all from offscreen footage. Some of the stages have 3 to 4 levels for example. Also, the animations put into attacks connecting and misssing (losing balance) is something I havent seen in any fighting game.

The bounce seems to be their just not severe which would be great. Very hyped for this game, they need some more direct gameplay though.

Well I didn't claim those games look amazing either.

Killer Instinct was a pretty big leap! Did you see how the last game looked?! Also, its cheap digtal release.

I liked bound combos. It's really no different than doing an attack that hits you up into the air so you can combo off of, this one just bounces you off the ground so you can start a juggle. The amount of damage players do reduce after the first few hits and the players get knocked further away each hit, so there's a pretty much a damage barrier regardless what combo they do.

Scrub players, which I'll admit I'm an intermediate scrub, should love the bound system because it gives them more possibilities of actually doing a combo chain. Instead they complain about it and get the feature removed from Tekken 7 because they don't like the look of it. Thanks for making it hard to get decent in Tekken again scrubs :(.
