Well, Mario for obvious reasons. A lot more games and variety.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

We found the loophole!
I want to choose Donkey Kong (or Pokemon), but due to the Mario series has more games in various genres I selected Mario. Easy choice.
Zelda. If I pick anything other than Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon, I'll get to play one game every few years.
Actually, taking that into consideration, Mario is looking attractive. Multiple games per year.
That back catalogue though. If I can replay old Zelda games I will never want for something new.
If i choose Mario does that mean i can have 3D, 2D, Paper, tennis, kart, party etc.....more variety :)

I had to go with Mario. It's Universe is much vast and there are more games to play!
