i will probably play both.... what i like about xeno is the main charcter is suppose to represent you or represent your ideal hero since it is customizable.... i want my short girl with an insane speed and use dagger.... oh wait maybe thats monster hunter? :P

Just kidding, but seriously though, I'm not getting FFXV. But because that it is so westernized as apposed to other JRPGS like Dragon Quest, it will probably still sell well. The Xeno series has always been a fav of mine. After Xenoblade Chronicles I went back and played some other Xeno games. Xenogears is competitively fighting for my favorite Xeno game though. It's darn near perfect.

And sales.

(@ the bolded) BLASPHEMY!!! How dare you make such a statement...Xenogears IS perfect lol! Seriously though one of the greatest games of all time IMO. Glad you got a chance to go back and check it out! I also loved teh Xenosaga series 1 was the best for me 2 was good but not as good as one and 3 took teh series back in the correct direction. Would love an HD remake of that series.

FFXV is objectively better: it doesn't have a dumb name that sounds more like an expansion than a sequel.

I know, I hate it when new games just change a single character at the end. So unoriginal. They should have gone with a name that clearly makes it stand out from the previous entry. Something like Xenoblade Chronicles XV.

OT: I'm not a big Final Fantasy fan; only played a few of the classic entries when they were ported to Game Boy Advance, and they all bored me terribly. I have a a friend who tells me the PS1 entries were the highlight though..so I want to try those when my backlog gets lighter. On the other hand, Xenoblade Chronicles was in my top 5 last gen...so the direction of my hype is clear XD.

That being said, I agree with your sentiment Tbone, but I think the fact that X is Nintendo exclusive is bound to bring out fanboyish attitudes by default, either by overhyping or underhyping either game. At least some posters in this thread seems to be above that nonsense.

If I stumble across a Wii U, i might pick it up.

FFXV is still a much higher priority.
