It used to, haha. Maybe that's the joke?

Nah. Seems like it has to do with FF15 not being on the WiiU.

That's what I meant, fanboy considerations. People who are console agnostic won't compare them by virtue of the console they are released on. They will just buy both games if possible and if not will appreciate both on their own merits. |
True. But i hear a group around here say third party games are shit so those won't see it like that.
i was never a jrpg entusiast, chrono trigger when i was younger and nothing more.
so, i played xenoblade and loved it(same level as zelda for me, and im a zelda fan)
and i have never played ff.
ill give xv a chance.

Not so much, thankfully, now that Zero is gone.
If you think Nintendo fans are the ones stirring up trouble, I'm afraid there are troublemakers coming from both angles. But there is one fewer troublemaker in the Nintendo camp now than there was a few months ago, so that's good.

I know, I hate it when new games just change a single character at the end. So unoriginal. They should have gone with a name that clearly makes it stand out from the previous entry. Something like Xenoblade Chronicles XV. ---------------- OT: I'm not a big Final Fantasy fan; only played a few of the classic entries when they were ported to Game Boy Advance, and they all bored me terribly. I have a a friend who tells me the PS1 entries were the highlight though..so I want to try those when my backlog gets lighter. On the other hand, Xenoblade Chronicles was in my top 5 last gen...so the direction of my hype is clear XD. That being said, I agree with your sentiment Tbone, but I think the fact that X is Nintendo exclusive is bound to bring out fanboyish attitudes by default, either by overhyping or underhyping either game. At least some posters in this thread seems to be above that nonsense. |
Final Fantasy has roman numerals since forever. Everyone knows it's FF FIFTEEN.
In all seriousness though, Xenoblade Chronicles X is an incredibly stupid name. It really does sound like an update of sorts to the original game. It's just as dumb as Super Smash Bros. FOR 3DS/FOR WII U. I digress.

If you're talking about the "Versus XIII" thing, you're delusional. Such a game never existed.

What are you talking about? Of course it existed, I have proof right he--- *bound, gagged, and dragged away by Squeenix ninjas*
Xenoblade Chronicles X is leagues better than any name I heard anyone suggest between its reveal and its official title announcement. I'm pleased with it.

| Jizz_Beard_thePirate said: Well... getting both will obviously be an issue since they are on two different consoles but yea, I get what you mean! I m gonna get both so fap fap fap! Can't wait! |
FFXV on PC where it will look good.
XBC on WiiU where it will actually release.

Wait, XV is coming to PC? First I've heard of that, I think. Something high-profile was recently announced for PC.... Phantom Pain, right?
