It's not bad, I just wanted it to do really good.

In a perfect world a game like this sells hundreds of thousand copies. It is one of my most anticipated games and I am pretty confident it will be released in the West. Fatal Frame has never been a big seller in Japan but that hasn't stopped it from being localized in the past (with the exception of IV).

and the Wii ports of the first two...

Well I have the PAL version of Fatal Frame 2: Wii Edition on my shelf ;)

Irrelevant. You had to homebrew/mod in order to make the Wii region-free.

Obvsly, murica > yurop, so yurop dun cou

Not to me. I live in Europe, meaning I was able to buy a localized version in the store. Sucks that NoA didn't bother though

NoA did some terrible things last generation, like this.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Strange: I always thought Fatal Frame was a thing in Japan. According to vgchartz though, it sold best in the west.

Bayo 2 held up better than I thought, being at 12 I thought max 5k. Xb one above 1k for the week is very good considering it's xb one and this is Japan.

Most defence was anchored around the fact that there were only two days worth of sales (which a lot of people incorrectly interpreted as one day's worth of sales).

Here are some:

And these two are particularly good:

Wow, there were a lot! I've always seen that "x days" as a trollish argument, can't beleive people do belive it affects FW sales.

Thanks.

Fatal Frame did pretty good.

Now what did bad is Bayonetta 2.

That old argument gets trotted out every time a game has a weaker-than-expected opening. Without fail. Because games rarely release on Sundays.

What's really funny is when you get a game like Tomodachi Life that bucks the trend and does sell more in its second week. But that probably has more to do with word-of-mouth than with the numbers of days of availability that week.

Looks like Bayonetta did not pan out well.

Where is the Wii U boost coming from?

Fatal Frame

Oh shit, you're right. That makes sense then.

Looks like Smash ought to have sold 1.5m+ by now then, including digital.

So the 3DS version alone is selling faster than Brawl in Japan.
