Isn't Germany like very anti Xbox/Pro PS though?

Germany isn't anti-Xbox (well, the NSA scandal didn't really help Xbox because "MS can spy with Kinect" was a huge campaign against MS here) but Germany is pro PS. PS is simply a synonym for "consoles" and if they talk as example on TV about gaming they call consoles simply "Playstations" as if Playstation would be a word like "car" or "bike".  And MS is just too stupid here. No advertisement or if they have advertisement they simply "forget" to mention exclusive content which they pay for and so on...So, in reality it's not "anti-Xbox" and more like "nobody cares or even knows much about Xbox"

It's really hard to tell what's wrong with the guys who are responsible for Xbox here but one is for sure, they are totally useless and 12 years old couldn't be worse in their position.

Sony does everything here, they have deals with "Deutsche Telekom", they have deals with "Maxdome" and they pull out huge campaigns for every single exclusive or game for which Sony paid to get exclusive content for and fools people into thinking the whole game is only on PS. What does MS try here? Almost nothing lol...

Destiny is a perfect example. Destiny ads here say "The ultimate Destiny experience only on PS" which sounds for many as if Destiny is a PS excluisve. Why is MS too stupid to do exacty the same with games they get extra content for?

If Germany decide to miss out on X1's great exclusives then that's there choice, I for one am loving the X1 as much as my gaming rig. X1 has games still to come this year that look more promising then any others. In saying that, it doesn't matter how well a console does at the start of a generation, just look at the PS3 with its horrible PR and almost impossible to developer for, yet were able to turn the tables around and comeback to match the 360 in sales. MS can easily do the same and the X1 isn't in the same boat as the PS3 as its already a cheap console and its hardware is miles easier to develop for then the PS3 in its era. Also with its inclusion of DX12 still to come I cant see the X1 dying anytime soon.

Fanboys only care for sales, while gamers only care for games. Take your pick.

Also Germany are still upset with the outcome of WW1 and WW2. USA technology isnt welcome there.

Ehh, not really... maybe some old people would prefer to buy technology from other countries but people below maybe 60 don't really care if the technology comes from USA or Japan.

This is a sales orientated website remember, and it is a banable offense to call people fanboys.

Except i havnt called anyone a fanboy. Unless your saying i have called you a fanboy then thats a banable offence for accusing me.

It isn't.

As for the thread, world wide it seems to be staying at 2:1 and that is what MS will be trying to sort out overall, not just focus on 1 region and ignore the bigger picture. I think when they start to cut up their fans into Tier 1 and Tier 2 fans it just causes more agro towards them from everyone.

This^  Even if the Xbox One was free, Germany still wouldn't buy it. Nothing to see here.

Except I'm not talking about Microsoft, I'm talking about what Xbox fans think.

Xbox One will not surpass PS4 in global sales. We should all realize that.

I think most people already realised that long ago... It's not about winning, just doing well. Which it looks like the Xbox One has a good chance of.

I made this post a couple days ago, in a thread which, discussion-wise, boiled down to beating PS4 vs. Xbox doing well:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6696678

I just find it funny, because I thought the "they don't care about winning, they just wanna do well" logic would stop....and it hasn't.

Yes, and what thismeintel and my post showed was that what Xbox fans think is not in line with reality (aka a delusion). It's not "just about doing well". Microsoft wants to beat Sony, but they're not doing that at the moment. To take the inability to outsell PS4 and turn it into "they just want to do well", is just spin, because Microsoft is not reaching their goals.

Or maybe the PS4 is a better machine, has its own exclusives, and extremely strong brand recognition.

No your right it must be about WW2.  How silly.  You know, when the Xbox 360 was #1 in the US, I don't think I ever heard anyone blame Pearl Harbor for Sony's troubles.  If Germany decides to "miss out on X1" it will be because the view the completion as a better option.  Nothing more.   And objectively it seems to be a well informed decision.

That seems kind of arrogant.  You didnt really show anything.  You made an assumption and called it reality and people delusional when plenty of people are happy with their xbox one and will continue to be that way because it offers the games/experience they want and like.

Let me explain it this way. Ill post my favorite consoles of each generation and then ill explain to you why i just want to see it be successful

N64 > PS1 > Sega
Gamecube > Dreamcast > Xbox > PS2
PS360 > Wii
Xbox One > PS4 > WiiU  (so far)

Now show me which generation my favorite console was the best selling console?  Oddly eough that hasnt been a single generation.  Why I want it to be successful is so they can continue to make consoles unlike Sega which was forced out of the market.  That has nothing to do with what is selling the best, but what is successful.  I play games, not numbers.  While its fun watching numbers, yes some people take it too seriously which is what I believe the person that got ridiculed earlier in this thread was trying to say.  YOu have people more inclined to focus on pixels and numbers rather than how fun a game is primarily based off a console war.

Things here seem to have taken a bizarre turn. Let us moderators decide what is an isn't bannable; and if you think a post is then report it rather than calling someone out in a thread (because this happens).

Let's all return on topic please.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Are you misinterpreting what I'm saying? Or just not reading it? I never said Xbox fans are delusional for enjoying their console. I said it's a delusion to believe "just doing well" is the #1 priority Microsoft has. My post that I linked to was in response to a user saying "It's obvious that they don't want to lose to PS4", which had a reply with the sarcastic Nick Cage picture with the caption "you don't say"....but looking around the forums, all you see is "they just want the Xbone to sell well". No, they want to beat Sony. If the PS4 sells 100M units, Microsoft wants to sell 100.1M. That's their priority, hence 3 price cuts in 10 months in the UK.  In terms of "doing well to continue to make consoles", you think making multiple price cuts in a short amount of time is good for future console making? You think developers seeing waning sales and desperation price drops will make them think "hrmm....this is the console I want to invest in"?

I play games too, you know, not numbers:

(and that just came out a few weeks ago). But this is a sales oriented site, so I'm gonna discuss it. It's so annoying that the fall back of "I play games, not sales" keeps coming up. Well, if you don't like sales discussions and the impact sales has on the video game industry, then this just may not be the forum for you.

How is that not in line with reality? I'm an Xbox fan and I really couldn't care less whether Microsoft want the Xbox One to come 1st or whatever. As long as it sells well enough and the games keep coming I will be happy, and that is what I care about. I'm sure most other Xbox fans are the same, do we care about Microsoft? Maybe a little, but we would much rather be happy with the console ourselves regardless of what they think of it.

That's fine and obviously makes sense. Of course you want games to keep coming to the console you spent good money on. But people around here are superimposing their beliefs onto Microsoft, and that's what I was pointing out.
