Yes, it's amazing isn't it. I remember years of 360 fans discussing how MS had taken market share from Sony. Something tells me that won't be relevant either in 2 - 3 years.

The holiday always help the consoles who align with the mainstream the most. IMO % wise WiiU get biggest boost (Also with SSB) followed by PS4 (It really appears the mainstream audience is adopting the PS4 in all markets, even NA) and I think XB1 has smallest increase % wise.

Remember last CMAS? XB1s were sitting unsold around the world even in NA, and that was 30 days after launch. PS4 will have supply this year going to be a blood bath.

You say that as if there are people claiming xb one will sell about the same as it's summer/early autumn baseline. No one is saying that. Of course Xb one sales will go up during the holidays. That's not the issue. The issue is whether holiday sales will be good or bad for that time of year. If Xb one averages 250k per week in December that's a huge boost above baseline, but it's pretty weak sales for December.

I think it's difficult to predict where xb one will land with consumers this holiday except to say that on a global basis PS4 will almost certainly beat the pants off it.

Good to know !!! In Germany you can buy a Xbox one bundle included FIFA 15 , Forza 5 , a second controler and 3 month of Xbox live for only 399,- Euro. You can buy it by Saturn.de online store but only till 28.09.14.

just nice to see xb1 selling over 100k in a week.......it's always been in the 30's just behind the wii-u, did I miss something?

I mean beating the ps4 is like an unreachable dream but it's doing really good now, meaningless competition aside.

What's more interesting to think about is how they would react if somehow the One started outselling the PS4 every other month or so.  Would they stick to this "don't care about sales" talk?  Nope.  Most would be acting like they did last gen.  Thread after thread about the One outselling the PS4 and how much the gap shrink in a given month.  They would somehow find that ability to care, again.  Which I honestly prefer.  We are on a sales site, so obviously people care.  Sadly, right now, some are just coming off as disingenuous.

They need to find someway to turn Europe around. The situation goes like this: these countries chose the terribly expensive PS3 over the Xbox 360 so in what universe is a cheaper or similarly priced PS4 going to under perform the competition.

Yep, we are. Sony flooded Germany in the 90s with ads all over and so PS became the word for gaming in Germany. They have exclusive advertising since many years and as we are loving Soccer everyone sees PS logos everywhere. Nobody can compete here, sadly. Especially not MS which are getting hated since forums are born on the internet :)
