Why create a thread comparing a title that launched on three million or so consoles to ten as though its some achievement? More to the point, what is with the rabid, misplaced and unnecessary comparison's of two successful games?

On the contrary, this is a sales site, a thread comparing the sales of two games, even if the intention might be that of console wars, is just as valid as hype or rumor threads.

Why isn't 2 million sales 1st week of a New IP an acheivement? If Respawn wanted TitanFall to hit something like that they would've kept it multiplat.

So basically to simplify this issue we should just focus on destiny on the system that also has titan fall. If it outsells titanfall on the xbox one, chances are it would also outsell it had it been on the ps4. 

But to compare something that released on a system with 11 mil units to something that released on a system that had 3 mil units sold at the time the game was "hot" and even today just 5 mil.....it makes no sense when you can just compare the xb1 versions.

It's a rare case were a multiplat title would beat another franchise in the ps4 numbers and lose to the same franchise when comparing the xb1 numbers. VERY RARE!

So all the research is largly a waste of time.

The actual distribution of the games sales does not match the userbase distribution. Thus, attributing its sales only to that of userbase is incorrect.

And still the Titanfall bundle was more expensive than the Destiny bundle. There are more truths out there and selecting only one to show something is never enough to make you look like unbiased or to transport a well-informed opinion.

I kneel down before thee, oh you super intelligent and well informed being - I made the mistake and took the price that is valid in my region which is Euro and here the bundle with PS4 and Destiny costs 439€. Thanks for trying to teach me.

before Titanfall released it would have been crazy to suggest on here that Destiny would outsell TF on just the PS4. XB1 fans are now trying to rewrite history. TF had more hype for the XB1 than Destiny had for the XB1. The reason Destiny was more hyped overall was the fact it was a full console multiplat.

Again had I come on here back in early March and said "Destiny PS4 would outsell TF XB1 LTD in week 1" most of you would have shit down my neck.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
