Forums - Microsoft - Looks like MS is bringing back the Only on Xbox labelling.

I was on holiday in London, england. Shopped with my girlfriend on the Giant Toy store in Regent street, down in the Game Section ( this was the only Game shop in the area which didn't only sell used games ) and there was Destiny posters on the wall for both PS4 and XB1. Ps4 had the white destiny poster and the XB1 had the *only on XB1*poster advertising Destiny on it. i planned taking a picture of it but my feets hurted like hell after 5-6 Miles walking that day with terrible shoes ( which i regretted i picked ) Microsoft is using the * Only on XB* advertisement on Multiplats, even if they include other games which is not on other platforms to create confusion but still not get caught on half true advertisement... to bad the Ps4 and XB1 poster was side by side lol

There's no logical reason MS would actually advertise Destiny as an Xbox exclusive. And even if there were, I am sure Activision would have something to say about that.

Honest advertising isn't in the Microsoft playbook. This is the same MS that had those Xbox 360 with Kinect "starting at $99" ads last year. Of course, they omit the 2-year Xbox Live contract you had to sign and the cancellation fee for opting out. Of course, that promotion was killed off quietly.

How else should they end the promotion? A parade and confetti?

And every ad for the $99 Xbox I ever saw, said 2 year contract with XBLG for $15 a month. Maybe I didn't see them all though. But it's irrelevany anyway, it's not like they ring you up for the $99, take your money, THEN tell you about the contract.

I don't believe you.  

It's true, as it's also happening here in Singapore. They mix exclusive and multiplats and put "only on xbox" on top. And this is not just a poster, it's a giant banner hanging on a big wall. 

 

I don't have a problem with it though as the statement is also true. You can only play "all"  the mentioned games on the xbox. Individually, it's wrong.

It's true, as it's also happening here in Singapore. They mix exclusive and multiplats and put "only on xbox" on top. And this is not just a poster, it's a giant banner hanging on a big wall. 

 

I don't have a problem with it though as the statement is also true. You can only play "all"  the mentioned games on the xbox. Individually, it's wrong. 

I can't see MS or Sony purposely putting "Only on", unless it's a misprint like someone mentioned or an error on the retailers side.
